the glare was annoying, but that isn't the big problem that needs to be fixed with that field.

Seriously. I'd get rid of the track before I changed the turf.

Yeah, it's kind of a cheap thing when you think about it. Actually, it sorta reminds me of the trickery that they pull in their play calling. Technically it's legal, but it's also kinda shady, seeking to give yourself an unfair advantage.

Whatever.

I still want the Mountain West to send them an invite.

Whatever revenue we lose resultant of the subsequent pie-slicing, I think we'll make back in prestige of the league. Bigger tv contracts, more bowl berths -- and an automatic bcs bid (which is really only important in that you don't have to share funds with the rest of the non-AQs).

?? Not my thinking exactly.

It was marketing brilliance and now they need to change it. Great move to start with and now they are one of college footballs elite programs. The play calling is a part of the game. That fourth down trick play against us, basically was a perfect and intelligent call.

And because, you know, it's automatic. So if our conference champ should slip up somewhere, they still get to go to a BCS bowl.

Bleymaier says FieldTurf wants to fix the problem and is doing it for free. The school did not estimate the cost of the project.

???

Why would the school estimate the cost of the project if FieldTurf is doing it for free? There is no cost.

I still don't get the love affair with BSU. Also don't believe its football team would be as good playing in the MWC instead of the WAC.

Frogs;

They should not be allowed to wear their blue jerseys when playing at home. How does your qb get a quick, last-minute read of their safeties if their uniforms are the same color as the turf !??!

Just askin'.

How do QB's do it when they're playing Baylor or Oregon or Michigan St or any team that wears green jerseys on green fields?

Big difference in the shades of green between the grass and the jerseys, made especially apparent by the fact that the human eye is most sensitive to green light. Boise's turf is the exact same shade of blue as their jerseys/pants/helmets.

how does Kellen Moore find his receivers on that turf? Jedi magic? The blue turf is a psychological advantage if anything. The turf is tacky and that's why it should go.

Listen, it doesn't matter when you play on that stupid blue turf. A 3D object stands out on a field. What matters is the fact it is bush league! Completely community college; the track simply exaggerates how young and retarded they are! Any AD that has a major program, yet leaves a track around their field should be fired! Their AD is obviously incompetent; note it is also evident in how he handles the press and works their schedule with all those cup cakes!!!

Some of their fans like it, some of them agree with my last statement. The thing that will matter this year is losing their defensive coordinator, Wilcox. I think they lose to Virgina Tech and Oregon State. After our thorough trouncing of Oregon State in the Death Star, there will be no question as to who goes to the Fiesta Bowl this year!!!

And we probably wouldn't be as good playing in the SEC instead of the MWC. They are 2-1 against us incl a win in FW; what's your point? Boise is like TCU used to be (and to some extent still is); every team they beat had a "bad game" and still thinks they are better than Boise even after they get beat by them.

+1. The Broncos are better than many willing to admit.

My point is all BSU does is football. They are a one trick Bronco so to speak. And I'll bet that if they were added Air Force, Utah, TCU and BYU would hand them football losses. Also why would they want to leave the WAC when their path to a BCS game is much easier? Just tired of all the butt kissing people do about BSU without looking at their athletic program as a whole. They don't even play baseball.

I'd much rather see the MWC stick where is it or add Houston or Fresno State or all three to the conference.

Really? That's why you said: "I still don't get the love affair with BSU. Also don't believe its football team would be as good playing in the MWC instead of the WAC."

Ridiculous.

2008 for one. Same reason so many here want to be in the B12 or a BCS conference too.

I don't think ANYBODY respects their athletic program as whole. Who cares? Everyone knows conferences are about football (and to some extent men's basketball). The only people who care about baseball are fans of schools with good teams.

And that's fine, but BSU will do far more to make the MWC a BCS conference than those also-rans.

If BSU was addded to the MWC, the conference would only be that more credible and should be considered as part of the "Big Six"...

As far as losses within conference, BSU would probably not win the conference year in and year out, however some years they would be the favorite and others they would be contenders for the league crown. If BSU was in the MWC in 2010 I think the Frogs would be voted the favorite but I would understand if BSU was too.
