For Your Entertainment: TCU Rival Fans Respond to CP4's Return

Threads are popping up everywhere regarding Pachall's return to TCU. Most of the responses are predictable, but some are entertaining nonetheless:

Tech/RaiderPower:
http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=188&f=1650&t=11171771
Highlights include one poster claiming Tech's first-year head coach and his first-year starting QB will "hang 50" on TCU. Lots of typical Tech delusion where they forget they've never won a D1 conference title.

SMU/PonyFans:

Cut pony fans some slack, they're bitter and jealous as usual, but the conference realignment madness has further crushed theit spirits.

Baylor/BaylorFans:

Lots of classy responses here (I'm serious). Baylor is easier to tolerate now that we're in the same conference.

I think what's happening to baylor is they are getting good. Its easier to be a rational, intelligent fan base when the product on the field does the talking for you. Hopefully our fan base is already there.

It does seem like there's a lot more people on Baylorfans that are complimentary/respectful of TCU than most of those RaiderPower, but I think that's something I noticed a lot more of AFTER October 13th.

Meaning, I think 49-21 earned some begrudging respect.

56-53 and and a 34-31 win (over a team that lost 26-10 to Michigan State) didn't get TCU as much in Lubbock.

Just the way it is, I think.

If TCU beats Tech next year, and/or finishes above them in conference...and maybe that changes.

Same thing in Austin...ShabbyBevo much more respectful of TCU after Thanksgiving night.

Tweaked it for you. Otherwise, I get what you're saying and believe you're right....the win over Texas was sobering for their fan base.

Ya, Tech fans are horrible. Had an in-law Tech grad rub their win in my face for about 10 minutes. I just smiled and bit my tongue. Can't wait for next year.

Nothing will change in Lubbock. The newer breed of fan out there is different than older Raider fans. It is kind of like they never get of that high school mentality.
