i watched the entire #5 lsu (20-1) v. #2 usc,e (19-1) game friday. it was in columbia. full house. electric atmosphere. both teams are uber athletic as expected. and they defend like banshees. their speed, length and quickness are noteworthy. they play the game like wvu only at a superior level.

yesterday they didn't shoot worth a hoot. and they are not particularly tall. i can see why ucla beat usc,e earlier in the year for those two reasons, shooting and size.

side note, usc'e coach, dawn staley, just signed a $4.5 million/year contract. she's really the best in the business now. and i can't see any b12 team hanging with either but that's why we play the games. isu lost earlier to usc,e by 40.

We lost to SC by 30+ last month so we know we can’t hang with them.

Lsu just beat Oklahoma 107-100 in regulation!!!
People overuse "unhinged" these days but I don't think there's a better example than Kim Mulkey. In the first half, she instructed her player to aggressively defend the key, which led to a brawl that she then put herself in the middle of. In the second half (up 22), she went apoplectic when her player was given a T for flopping. It was maybe the most obvious flop in the history of flopping.

OUCH!!!
Yall are missing the point here. Both teams scored 100 points in regulation. You just dont see that in college, especially the women. It scheissing takes our guys almost 2 full games to hit 100.

It's unusual, for sure. But sometimes the game script leads you that way. It was a chippy game from the start, so lots of points were scored with the clock stopped (63 FTs shot, 44 made). Then, when OU got behind by 20+, they had to try to press their way back in, so lots of easy buckets resulted on both sides (42 turnovers and 45 fast-break points). The teams executed decently--both teams shot a shade over 50% and had just over 1.0 assist-to-turnover ratio. But the play wasn't lights-out on either side.
