OK, let's fire Sonny. Who's next?predictable response from you. if you think highschool recruiting is overrated these days, it just shows you don't know jack.
This was not a good year for TCU. It falls on Sonny. Period.

I know this isn't how you were using the term but "ice box" used to be synonymous with refrigerator. When my dad was a kid he worked at a plant where they made and stored ice. They would then drive around with a truck filled with a big block of ice, chipping off pieces that people would store at their homes in the "ice box" to keep food refrigerated. He had lots of interesting stories about it.I had a Zenith refrigerator at TCU. had the little ice box hanging down from the top. Got it out of my uncle’s barn, had to Bondo the door and put in new weatherstripping but it got us through.

When they recently ripped off the facade at Westcliff SC it revealed an old S&H sign above the hardware store. Not sure if they kept it but was hoping. Think it was an A&P back in the day.It was. I've been there.
Was a gathering place for young mothers in South Hills. It was. I've been there.
Add tin foil….We had one too. The rabbit ears had problems picking up channel 11 and it was broadcasting from Ft. Worth!
There are many teams ranked ahead of TCU with more than double the number of recruits.didn't see a signing day thread. as you said ...
GP had us in the mid to near mid 20s often. So far today, I've seen 247 have us in the 43 to 45 range and ESPN has a buried with (correction) a 49.
Don't imagine anything changes this late in the day. The portal does not do that much to build depth and it's a gamble from year to year.
Look at West Virginia, lol. There are many teams ranked ahead of TCU with more than double the number of recruits.
I see only three of the 42 teams ranked ahead of TCU having a lower average recruit ranking - Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia. And give WV credit because they had to sign 48 and their average ranking is still 86.89 which isn’t much lower than TCU’s 87.29. So TCU is 40th in average recruit ranking while only signing 22.There are many teams ranked ahead of TCU with more than double the number of recruits.
Yep, saw that one too...... I know, showing my age. When they recently ripped off the facade at Westcliff SC it revealed an old S&H sign above the hardware store. Not sure if they kept it but was hoping. Think it was an A&P back in the day.

I see Houston, Minnesota, Syracuse, Stanford, Rutgers, Vandy, Indiana and SMU with higher average recruit ranking, just to name the teams folks here are used to laughing at.
Frogs are 8th in the Big 12 in average recruit ranking, including being behind Baylor’s 87.97. TCU used to be 1st behind Texas and Oklahoma.
I worked at the A&P as a sacker summers until I graduated HS.Yep, saw that one too...... I know, showing my age.
It was Piggly Wiggly back in the day, and before that in the ‘50’s, it was Worth Food Market. When they recently ripped off the facade at Westcliff SC it revealed an old S&H sign above the hardware store. Not sure if they kept it but was hoping. Think it was an A&P back in the day.

It was Monnig’s Department Store. It was the Worth Foods not the A&P. There was also a department store. I think it was a Cox’s.
I think later they were bought out by Striplings/ Cox’s. But yes I was Monnings. It was Monnig’s Department Store.
They also had stores downtown, and on Camp Bowie.
Originally The Fair which was acquired by Monnigs. It was Monnig’s Department Store.

Wow, you two seem like a couple guys that were around Westcliff back in the day. Did you go to Ernie’s Hamburgers next to the barber shop and Buddy Tanners Records?Originally The Fair which was acquired by Monnigs.
The Fair! Wow there is a blast from the past.
