It should point be pointed out there is a distinction between graduating and running out of elegibility.Yes, it appears to me that this is was kind of the magic formula, the chess vs checkers thing. The other big- monied programs will catch on I'm sure, but Indiana was definitely ahead of the curve, and landing the incredible QB put them over the top. For what it's worth, Miami also had a very old roster, I think their starters averaged 22+ years old, and that included an 18 year-old. The numbers of players on the field last night that were younger than 21 were few and far between.
I think we're fast getting to the point where 75% or more of the kids playing on the best teams will have already graduated.
Right. I don't even know what eligibility means anymore. Some kids seem to get 5 years, some 6 or 7, or even 8. And Indiana just signed a punter who will be 30 years old this summer. Who really knows what the rules are, but most of the kids playing for the best teams at the end of the season won't really be students anymore. They for sure won't be students taking anything close to a full course load and attending class. We are already to that point, and it will trend even more in that direction. It should point be pointed out there is a distinction between graduating and running out of elegibility.
Just seems like 5 years to play 4 should be more than enough. If someone goes off and service in the military, leaves school to work, take care of family, (so many things that can happen), more than warranted for those years they are not in school to count against them. But if they are on the team, time to get real.Right. I don't even know what eligibility means anymore. Some kids seem to get 5 years, some 6 or 7, or even 8. Cuba, Venezuela....?seems a little far fetched. like some of the "offers" we have heard about in recent weeks that turned out to be not even remotely true.
but Miami has a LOT of money. Don't know where it comes from. They never seem to spend much of it on the campus, but some folks seem paid well and they have all sorts of avenues for funding.
And they’re driving that trainI think they're high on cocaine, actually.
i wish him well.Former TCU WR Jordyn Bailey commits to Iowa State
If you think about it or see it in your hometown, N.I.L "Revenue Sharing" is the stealth money laundering vehicle that has recently surpassed Crypto. It is the latest and greatest tool to circumvent and hide dollars.Cuba, Venezuela....?
