We gotta remember Bumpas in this exchange. He was a man behind the curtain for the defense until he retired in Feb. 2015.

From Wikipedia:

Bumpas coached in 19 bowl games at 7 different programs, with his teams amassing a record of 14-5 in those games:

No doubt GP’s best hire. There was a ten year gap in the resume so I looked it up. Didn’t realize he was at Western Michigan when Gary hired him.

He's averaging 1 int per game played.
AND,,,, did you watch any of his play in 2024?? Cute most times does not cut it.

I really hate asking questions on this thang and persons circumvent, ignore, make believe, and create their own reality. For 2026, I pledge to not be a faint keyboard warrior.

And the original question: Did you see Lagway who Florida stole out of Texas in 2024???

Oh, you mean the guy that still threw nine interceptions and didn’t even complete a full 60% of his passes? That Lagway? The same Lagway that has led them to a, checks notes, 12 and 13 record over two seasons? That Lagway? The same Lagway that has thrown 23 interceptions in two seasons? That guy??

Yeah, I’m pretty sure people have seen him.

The joke is that he threw so many INTs that DBs are going to be excited that he is in the Big XII. Your panties are in a bunch Uncle Lagway.

While not a super stellar class, it looks as if Baylor found someone to spend a little money. Surprising, considering last year‘s entire bought and paid for team walked off the job this winter. Maybe they just had more of the $21mm to spend since last year’s team quit.

To an extent, they went the route of signing some formerly higher ranked power 4 players that had been injured/buried in depth charts/in the dog house. Maybe it works better for them than us. I like our strategy this year.

Don't know how good Lagway will be but Carson Beck has thrown 23 INTs the last two years, as a 22 and 23 year old. Georgia seemed thrilled to get rid of him, but it seems to have worked out OK for Miami.
