I am surprised that it hasn't already.
I'm surprised some of the kids aren't "holding out" for lack of a better term for CFP games. Maybe they already are. Say you're maybe not an NFL prospect but you're a starter, maybe a senior, at a really important position. What's to keep you from saying, you know what, I think I'm gonna need an extra $200k to play in this one just to see what you can get.

It would seem like a school could write it into the contract that if they are receiving NIL money or any other funds from the school, they are required to play in any postseason games.
Common-sensical idea.
Damn hard to write this idea into a contract that’s enforceable.
Not that there aren’t other problems (there are), but a biggie is “required to play”. Professional athletes have 13th Amendment rights.

I feel like blackmailing your team when a national championship is on the line would hurt your draft prospects. Maybe the generational talents could do it, but I would guess most would end up like Shedeur Sanders and drop a few rounds.

I'm saying guys that aren't NFL prospects. And it doesn't have to be something that ever gets made public. Like I could see a starting right tackle who is a valuable player but not an NFL prospect threatening to hold out. Easily.

If true and with the news of his Offensive Coordinator coming here then we know his destination. I’m liking this hire more and more! Run the damn ball!

A little off-topic here, and my apologies for hijacking the thread, but looking at the B12 this year, we're no longer the chuck and duck league, to borrow a phrase from one of football's greatest villains.

Scores seemed to be lower, and there seemed to be more emphasis on ball control compared to the mid-2010s. Lots of games with winning scores in the 20s, even a few in the teens.

Yes, he left TCU. No, he did not go on to achieve better things. At least not better in relation to football.

Went to that bowl game. Afterwards, my Dad (as well as many others) were happy to see him move on.
We had some family friends who’s son’s were on the the OL that year… to say he wasn’t liked would be an understatement… on occasion they would “miss their blocks“ just to watch him get knocked on his butt..

I seem to recall an Argyle character here that enjoyed lassoing girls on the dance floor with their flowing neck scarf. Whatever happened to him?
There were too many pictures of girls with dirty feet for him, so he left. Or do I have it backwards and he liked that? Pretty sure that was him...
