Don’t know but the best, most disruptive defense we had was probably 2014, and that defense was filled with slow guys, relatively speaking. Most of the better players from that unit weren’t highly rated pro prospects because they didn’t run well.

Agree but I think that success was from the dline. We had a good dline especially with Pierson and Chucky Hunter in the middle which to your earlier point, were both of 300lbs.

Yes because unlike you simpleton, we can root for short-term failure in order to achieve long-term success. Similar to the end of Gary Patterson's tenure.

Sonny just isn't the guy that's going to get us to where we want to be. It's not his fault. He's just never been that guy. The 2022 year seems like a huge outlier.

It was pretty obvious then and it's getting more apparent now
100 percent agree with this and is totally my opinion.

Does anyone else feel like Houston was WAAAAAAY overrated and not that good, Just like us.?

Houston did not look good most of the game. Haven't seen them much this season, but were 8-2, so I guess a Top 25 Ranking was warranted? Frogs tried to give the game to them. Fortunately they wouldn't accept the gift .

UH does have good wins vs. ASU & Arizona. Their other wins: SFA, Rice, CU, Oregon St., Okie State & UCF.

So, a little overrated, kinda like us.

Season ticket sales will be a tough job next year. Prices are already sky high and with an iffy economy people are going to say to themselves, is this worth it? And who want to spend a fortune to go to Ireland? Ireland is probably doubting their choice for teams next year.
I am more likely to go to Ireland than to buy season tix.

Vibes seem high

This is irritating. scheiss the vibes, being happy with such mediocrity, barely squeaking a win (after losing three out of the previous five games) getting two TDs in the first quarter and ZERO for the rest of the game .... it disgusts me. Makes me think of the "is losing fun?" scene from Moneyball:

And of course, unlike Moneyball where it's a dipshit partyboy player leading the foolishness..... here it's the head coach.

You’re right. I, as a simpleton, never root for TCU to lose.
Neither do I. Know what else I don't do? Celebrate a win that will only prolong the mediocrity of a program that fought like hell for almost three decades under a great HC to go from the depths of D1, to respectable, to being a vaunted team that so called dynasty programs feared & would avoid playing.

Now we are the ones avoiding good teams so we can schedule scheissin Grambling. It's shameful. I never abandoned my Frogs in the doldrums of the 80s & 90s but this horrific backslide has me thinking (for my own sanity & physical health) that I do need to take a giant step back.... just like the frogs have under Coach Goiter who showed more passion doing scheissing karaoke in that video than I've ever seen him display on the field.

Is this where I am supposed to recite our W/L record in our first 10 years in the Big 12? I guess so. 74-51 (47-43 in B12 play). The "horrific backslide" started a long time ago.

And we ALWAYS had a Grambling on our schedule. The head coach demanded it, just like this one probably does. We did have a home and home set up with Ohio State back in the day but the head coach begged out of it for a one and done game at Jerry World. That's pretty well documented. They certainly weren't afraid to play us, it was the other way around.

Your penchant for sophistry never fails. Hope Coach Goiter is paying you for your effort.
