Fire this entire coaching staff

If by zero you mean roughly 100 million (before Dykes left), then this checks out
I remember SMU was to spend $150 million plus and then Dykes left. TCU has spent $500 million in Athletic facilities upgrades since 2012. It’s no secret - SMU has plenty of $$$.

There are many more guys out there that could be a great head coach. Unless you are hiring Saban you are taking a chance. Everybody thought Napier and Fickell where great hires and they've already been fired.
I guess I'm the first to point out that Fickell hasn't been fired.

Who would have guessed that a .500 career coach would be a .500 coach for us?!?!? Anybody who wasn’t drinking the purple koolaid when our admins fired the programs all time winningest coach mid-season. I hate to be right but this [ Finebaum ]show is on JD and anybody who empowered him and now he’s gone so no holding him accountable. He’s the one to blame for all of this BS. The program is at the lowest place it’s been since Pat Sullivan was the coach. That’s absolutely unacceptable and total crap. I posted several times that when we fired GP and hired this DB that we were on the path of firing, hiring and paying buyouts for a decade or so until we got lucky with a hire…just like every other program out there had been the previous 20 years. I really hate this crap and frankly have disassociated and don’t even care anymore. 25+ years of season tickets and never missed a game…even made it through +4 and re-ticketing and now I don’t even watch half our games on TV.

Waiting for the terse posts stating he's a .501 coach

The reason we need a change!!!!!!!!!!!!

Across his head coaching career at Louisiana Tech, California, SMU, and TCU, Sonny Dykes has a 16–42 record against Power 5 conference opponents, as of November 17, 2025. Dykes also has an 11–25 career record against teams ranked in the AP Top 25.
Here is a breakdown of Sonny Dykes' record by coaching tenure:

TenureRecord vs. Power 5 Opponents
Louisiana Tech (2010–2012)0–9
California (2013–2016)14–23
SMU (2018–2021)2–10

If you win 1 national championship, you can constantly get into your players' grills and chastise like Bo Schembechler. If you win 2 national championships, you can lava rock your players hind ends and create shame in front of the entire team. If you have won 3 or more NCs like Saban, you can verbally assault all the position groups as Attila the Hun did. Saban realized the "perceived" player coach dynamic was radically shifting because of NIL and exited stage right and went to the Whitehouse and then ESPN.
they all did that before they won titles. that's how they got the titles.
and if it has radically changed so much, then explain Smart and Elko.

If it was not for GP's players ... that record would be worse.
that 13-15 number against power conf opponents is telling.

It was 50 million for just dykes to start the year. Guaranteed contracts on all other coaches too.

Whatever the amount is TCU isn’t even competitive in paying for football. They spent a billion on facilities but now are content to let sports die
where did you get this data?

Last year our family started thinking about getting season tickets, few of my buddies have Legend Club, Loge box access. They mention it has been a nice experience so thinking I would join them next year/ ready to bite the bullet. But have since changed my mind...
No interest with Sonny running this program.

I know several long time Club members/season ticket holders that are letting them go. Ticket price change and .500 product did the trick.
