If TCU loses the last three regular season games and finishes 6-6 ... Dykes has to be fired.

At 6-6, we still may be looking at a coin flip decision.
I believe next year‘s revenue sharing target is approx $21.3m, and by coincidence that’s roughly the buyout in Sonny & staff….then on top of that TCU would have to sign a new staff with possible signing bonuses. That’s roughly $44-$45m, a big nut.

At 7-5, he’s probably got a hot seat year with fans waiting to pile on the second he loses a game.

Who knows, but we’ll get to see where AD Buddie’s expectations for winning are at.

Probably depends on how motivated the players are. I kinda think 7-5 is the most likely outcome at this point. Saturday is winnable but will be tough. The other two are probably toss ups.

agreed, but a lot of us felt the same last year and they got one more.
If they can get to 8 wins, and then show good in a bowl, might carry well into next year.
clear up the dumb mistakes and that could be enough.

if he does not get some linemen from the portal, he may be gone before week 7 next year.

He’s lost 3 of the last 4 games. That’s enough to get fired by other programs. One was a blowout and others like K State and Colorado had terrible play calling. We need to bring back Patterson at this point.

in my business, if Sonny worked for me, I I'd fire him. I hired him and that reflects on my poor decision making and management.

I think 8-4 is his ceiling, not just this year, but every year. Maybe a 9-3 or 10-2 once in a while if he's lucky, but he's never lucky (except with Max Duggan). Winning twice as many games as you lose seems reasonable, but it got the guy at Penn State fired. Is it good enough here?
