Your oline has collpapsed on you and you know you can’t run the ball effectively and that the other team is blitzing heavy. So why do you call long developing pass routes and play actions? Thats on Briles. Our TE and slot receiver seemed to be having success. So why not work those slants and hitches on quick reads instead? Those are on Briles.

Lack of depth is a problem with every team as if someone isn’t starting they are in the portal. This is not just a TCU problem

If I can predict what we run on every first down, surely the other team’s defensive coordinator who makes millions can too.
They started covering the slant routes pretty good in the 2nd half, we should have been throwing outside more, and maybe deep. But after the 1st qtr we basically had no QB, no O line, no running game, and the play calling was terrible. 8 -4, may be tough unless Sonny brings them back together to play like they did in the first game.

Idk how much of a difference Barnes would have made with the way the OLine played tonight.
Can we play like the UNC game without Barnes and McAlister? Hasn't looked liked it so far.

This is a concern. Thought we had better depth coming into the season but so far it looks like not even close.

Yup. Think a lot has to do with the scheme. Pretty predictable and easy to bull rush. After a while those guys are gonna get gassed and beat. It’s crazy how long our plays take to develop.
