Fire ADJD? Fire Briles? No, but….

If a lot of fans left in a big night game like this, then that is pathetic. They won’t come when the team loses some and now they won’t stay when leading by 14 at halftime of a big game? And tickets are expensive so maybe drawing in rich people who are poor fans.

A large portion of this breakdown rests upon the coordinator of the defense. He ran the inside blitz so, so, so often they knew the inside run game was going to be wide-open. UCF picked it up EVERY time and the door opened! And why rush 3 with 5 minutes in the 3rd expecting a pass but ran it for 15 yards and three plays later, UCF scored? At that point, Mahzon knew he had won it. To me, that set the stage for the letdown.

And the coaches were so caught up in an apparent victory, they just sat back and celebrated too. Guess who won that game?

Hoover played a great game, but near the end, he let his concentration wander and didn't hit the rec'rs to continue the drive in the last 15 minutes.

The coaches had them ready to play, and then it broke down.

What happens next? The coaches will have to address a LET-DOWN of big portions and most likely will struggle in the next game. Careful here, it could set the stage for an average season. Remember these are 18 to 22 yr old kids.

In conclusion: the coach(s) let this one go and it's ON THEM!

When does Sonny Dykes face accountability? He hired this staff. He picked Morris over Max. He brought in Briles when nobody associated with TCU was comfortable with it. He is a 2024 FA Dry. He caught lightning in a bottle in 2022 with GPs guys. Gillespie was a huge mistake too. This season is going down the drain.

Whoa Dutch. Let's go kick SMU's ass and move on from there. We played a damn good offensive team and came up short. Not time to pull the plug yet. We're 2-1. Let's see what happens from here.

The heat, humidity and lack of any kind of breeze was probably tough on some people. It was certainly uncomfortable.

I stayed until the end. Saw mostly young healthy fans leaving in 3rd qtr.

Everyone knew it was going to be hot.

Blackout night game and fans can’t sit through all of it.

Group of 6 guys in front of me seemed hardcore, loud, etc. Suddenly we got up 28-7 and they all left never to return.

Goo Will remember those who left early

Who's the TCU Marketing Genius who comes up with a "Blackout" game in September when it's usually hot as Hell around here at that time?

Great idea. It's probably going to very hot, so let's have our fans, and team, wear all black for 4 plus hours in sweltering conditions.

This person deserves to be fired, if any firing is going to happen!

Black absorbs more sun heat during the day and more body heat at night. However, when there is a breeze it cools better. We had no breeze.

Was I supposed to type something here?

We hired Sideshow Bob to be our Events and Promotions Manager. So far, he's just walked around, stepping on rakes...

It was a little embarrassing.
I was watching the Wisconsin game yesterday and they were getting spanked by Alabama with a 4 TD lead in the 4th Qtr, yet all the fans still appeared to be in their seats.

Until TCU figures out the Uber lot, I’ll leave at halftime or third quarter of every game.

Congrats, you’re a bigger fan than I am.

But I’m also not one of the morons yelling for every coach to get fired either.

Go Frogs! Beat SMU!

Agree let's move on from this and set sites on SMU.

Concerning Briles and firing him. For me he called a decent game. TCU did put thirty something on the board and they are a pretty good team. You cannot fire an offensive coordinator three games into THE SEASON. If you do you can forget this season and a lot of the next season. Hoover and the team would be looking a re-learning a completely new offense and that takes time and practice hours.. Talk about idiot thoughts, that's one of them!!

Everyone stays for Jump Around at the end of Q3. It typically empties out right after that, but given that it was Alabama a lot may have stayed.

Let me say that TCU is where they are because of Gary Patterson. He loves TCU and will forever be one of my favorite coaches in any sport. But to keep saying Dykes won with his players is only half right. Yes, Patterson had those players. And with those player here are his last 4 fears...
2018 7-6
2019 5-7
2020 6-4
2021 3-5
Coach Dykes took those players and did something with the same players that Patterson had. I am also curious how many of those former Patterson players were on the team last year that went 5-7? Dykes didn't forget how to coach. They are 2-1 this year. It is way to early to write this team off and call for coaches to be fired. UCF players get scholarships to and are pretty dang good. They are the number running team in the country for a reason. The Frogs will regroup and win a lot of games this year. Its not the time to be yelling for coaches to be fired.
