TCU looks to rebound from a disappointing season that saw its run of three straight NCAA Tournament appearances come to an end.

The Horned Frogs overhauled their roster in the offseason via the transfer portal and will unveil their new-look squad in Monday's season opener against New Orleans in Fort Worth, Texas.

TCU coach Jamie Dixon spoke at Big 12 media days on the desire to have two point guards on the floor at the same time, something they plan to do with transfers Jayden Pierre (Providence) and Brock Harding (Iowa).

I thought it was a little weird that Jamie brought them both to media day. If I'd listened to all that they said, it would have made more sense.

But does it make sense to have them on the floor at the same time? They can both score and distribute, so maybe no need for a traditional shooting guard.

Another case of Jamie's willingness to adapt his system to his personnel. Underrated element of his coaching, and a tool I don't think he was known for at Pitt.

Gotta find a way to get micah robinson more time on the floor this year. And it didn't look like that was the case in the exhibition games.

I’m looking forward to watching Monday to get a better feel for what it looks like.
The communication should be interesting and one or both have to be shooters at differing times. Definitely a new wrinkle.

From what little we've seen, I would wager Harding takes a little more of the primary ball handling, while Pierre serves more of a scoring role, resembling a SG.

Which I think will work better than having two off guards split the point duties, which we've seen a couple of times recently.

May be possible it’s less about the traditional point guard in a set half court offense, more to do with defense and transition off of steals.
