How in the world did their feud spiral so far out of control at the facilities.
There are so many charmin soft comments and so much pearl clutching. How are yall so shocked and angry that two 18-22 year old males got into a fight?

Does anybody here remember that these are military aged males who are forced to put pads on and slug it out against each other in 100 degree weather for weeks at a time and that they are lauded for being nasty and mean and tough? You obviously can’t bring it into the locker room but let’s not pretend this type of stuff is surprising from guys who are playing the most violent sport on earth.

Fights happen. Fields sounds like a scrub who took it too far. The coaches did the right thing and booted him and hopefully whoever he knocked out gets better.

Yes, I’m not completely sure, but that does appear to be the case. He is the only WR on the roster that was not at Meet the Frogs.
It has been reported the victim was more or less unconscious after being sucker punched; then was kicked/attacked while down on the floor.
Jeremy Scott will likely take the start. It was going to be very close to see who the stater was going to be. What a shame.
If this is the case, good riddance.

SD had commented on the depth of this team, so it would make sense that Scott would be ready to go.

I’m obviously not sure about this, but I believe Jeremy won the starters job over Dozie anyway.
As it was, they were both going to get a lot of PT.
I heard yesterday he was still hospitalized, so it sounds serious with a possible extended recovery.
Wouldn‘t be surprised if there is some kind of concussion protocol as well.
Whatever it is, all we can do is hope and pray for recovery.

Predicting all 25 top 25 teams would be like a one in a trillion thing. Of course there are going to be teams that end up better or worse than originally thought.
Its also a point in time discussion. Limited data sure, but still where we are at in August, it's not a prediction of where we will be in January.

For example, Texas and A&M are in the Top Ten, but they're going to play each other later in the season, causing one of them to drop. Does that mean either of them aren't a Top 10 team right now? Of course not.

Just wish they would have taken care of it on the field instead of in the locker room.

I agree, but everyone always talks about how "wrong" they are. If it's a point in time discussion, how can it possibly be wrong? It is what it is, right?

It's funny, every time a ranking comes out all you ever hear about is how team x, y, z, etc are overrated. Nobody talks about the underrated teams, but there has to be an even number of overrated/underrated. And of course, people are very opinioned about it, but nobody ever lists their own Top 25. They'd find out that what the current rankings are really aren't far off of what they should be, especially as you get further into the season.

Absolutely.
Hate that he is going through this.

A&M faces a different schedule this year. Last year they had a pretty smooth path for much of the year.
