Fake punts

I just realized, I don't believe anyone ran a fake punt against us this season. Did we change something on the punt-return team? Did Big 12 coaches just not scout videos of us from last year?

Ironically I was thinning the same thing yesterday. Unless I'm mistaken, can't recall one all season.

The reason why I thought about it was Utah St ran a foolish one yesterday and was thinking Mich St may have one prepped for us, anything to get an advantage one way or another. I know there's no way we run a fake punt in the bowl game, lol

We switched to running out of the I for the bowl game and GP has installed the 3-4 for MSU's running attack.

This season, it looked like our punt rush was not as it was in years past. We put pressure on the blockers/punter with at least two people, and kept a couple more at home until the ball was gone.

Someone with easy access to film could confirm this.

Although we joke about it, every team that has tried a fake punt on the Frogs in the last dozen years has always succeeded. Anybody remember one that didn't?
