laughing because I was trying to remember who the loser in the champ game was last year. you posted this list and I immediatly looked at 1984 because I remember Georgetown beat the Coogs. Then I immediatly remembered who lost last year. And now that I think about it, Coogs lost last year was a kick because they were leading by something like 12 points at one point and then kinda deflated late in the game.

If you had asked me who Florida beat last year, I wouldn't have known......one year later, LOL. I "think" UCONN won the year before, but I have no idea who they beat. To me THAT is the difference, and it sucks. The games, and who actually wins doesn't seem to mean as much as the other stuff. All about money and "winning" social media now. That's why I'm so surprised people are willing to fund this stuff like they do. For what?

heck, we watched River Falls win a natty this year in football. and my guess is even those guys had some sizable NIL bucks going. although it was probably just from Tarnation Tavern, one of the other pubs and maybe one of them was big enough to get 3M post it notes.
