Wait…liking Supertramp is considered an insult?!?!?!
Certainly no offense to Supertramp fans. I do not recall the blokes ever being mentioned on "Just Another Music Thread" Possibly a 100 + musical acts mentioned b4 STramp. The point is the long way home along with the Logical song were quite ordinary. Supertramp while talented they hit the cheerleader "yeah yeah" train at an 18 month flash in the early 80s. I like and will listen to STramp if my Gfriend has Sirius on, but they were arguably the epitome of plain or the opposite of Odd.

I am quite fond of Supertramp. Even caught that fabulous '79 Tour. Compared to today's acts, they tower above them...

Of course, this can be said of most acts of that age, compared to the talentless hacks thrust at us today.

I think I mentioned them as part of the British Invasion of hugely successful bands that came from England. Roger Hodgkin, their singer, had a minor hit with this song, which might be even better than their Supertramp stuff.

I consider myself a fan but limited to probably ten or so songs. I have not really given their deeper cuts much of a chance. But the song posted above? Listen to it. It has all of the best attributes of good Supertramp stuff.

The way the entire team played in the Alamo Bowl should be reason enough not to retire both of their #s.

The fascinating thing about the article is that Darian Hagan, QB from the 90-91 championship team was one of only 2-3 D Sanders retained on the Staff as Director of Community Engagement.

Hagan & Jones are correct. CU should not now retire SSanders & Hunters numbers. I suspect Hagan being a QB that he thinks SSanders should never have his # retired

In 1989, after graduating from TCU, I had some HFrog friends who were from Colorado and returned to Denver and Steamboat. They had Season tickets and invited me to several games and after several invites in '89 , I decided to go up to Boulder in '90 and see their Game against Iowa State. I was so impressed I decided to use the rest of my vacay allowance to stay and see the game against OU 2 weeks later. Although the final score was something like 28to 23, CU Steamrolled OU. Toward the end of the game, I told several in our group of 8 that CU will win the NC. I wagered $ 50 with a couple people willing.

I returned to Ft. Worth and watched every CU game that was available. CU dominated the remaining games and went on to Win the NC against Notre Dame coached by Lou Holtz 10-9( ND had just one the NC in,88). This was impressive, because the year b4 Notre Dame beat CU something like 20-7 in the orange bowl. I attended the NC game at a gathering on TV with a group of 15 in Thornton and watched the nailbiter. My wager wins paid for most of my airfare.

This 1990 CU team could be a rough Blueprint with how to deal with the new landscape of college football. Yes, 35 years later. Bill McCartney had a Christian centered strategy on how to recruit rural and urban youth from Detroit, New Orleans, Houston, LA, Montana, Mississippi and other locales and it worked.
I remember watching quite a few of those games... Loved Hagan as an option QB. I wouldn't say they dominated late...there was that "5th down" play at Missouri. Great team though. A lot of those guys played in the NFL. Knew a guy that played TE for them. He always told me that while the Sal Anessa (sp?) story was cool (back in '89) he wasn't that great of a guy.

The CU vs NE game back in '89 was one of the best games that I ever saw. It's on YouTube, if you want to watch a great game, I suggest looking it up.

I read this morning that he is suing the NFL for intentional infliction of distress, or something like that. Seems too much like parody to take seriously. But, like everything with those clowns...

To believe people actually wanted that buffoon as the TCU Head Coach. Egad.

If you think about it, Our admin including a vacant GM wannabe interviewed him. [ What the heck? ] were they thinking??? And BTW who is our GM??? Cal is loading up with Ron Rivera. OU has hired JIm Nagy, Nebraska has hired Patrick Stewart, How about the stellar hire at North Carolina-- Michael Lombardi, Not to mention Stanford's hiring of Andrew Luck. How about Brandon Lee @ Purdue or Caleb Davis at SDSU?

All of these GM hires are at a minimum good. These are the guys who will be managing NIl in todays environment and N.I.L. going forward. Who do we have??

This thread still popping up to the top of this Frog forum with ten pages now, on Sanders. Some of you need to follow your passion and go work for the sordid National Enquirer or whatever new ignoble tabloids you like to follow.
Certainly no disrespect here. I am not saying like , most Politicians when they say "with all due respect" and then they generally disrespect. I appreciate your posts about Trump with the King hat and DJT with bloated renderings and the lot. Those posts are genuinely funny on a tiny tim haha level. BTW Tiny Tim was about as funny as a 2-3 year comedian. Truly flash in the pan.

Lessons learned for you should be : Don't be a Karen OR don't be that family Killjoy. Embrace the moment. Do you even know what the long term ramifactions of the Ukraine minerals deal will do for the world?? The Legacy media is not reporting on the minerals deal for a reason. Lastly don't be a Karen or a Trevor.

I'm convinced you're KF.c's version of Larry "Groovy" Gray. Here to remind us to keep it in perspective and not to underestimate the value of a cheeseburger in an island bar.
