Johnny Manziel got tackled and twisted his knee with about two minutes left in the first quarter. He was prone on the field for a couple of minutes. Needless to say, Kyle Field went silent. He got up, walked off the field unassisted, and sat on the bench while the trainers looked at his knee.

The ESPN guys, Ed Cunningham and Steve Levy, went nuts.

"See that pat on the head? One of his team mates just came over and patted him on the head. That tells me that Johnny Manziel is done for the evening. I think we've seen the last of Johnny Manziel tonight. Nothing that happens on the field tonight will be as big as what you just saw."

Then the sideline reporter overheard a trainer say that they were going over to get Manziel's knee brace.

He's back on the field.

"I guess all that body language I was reading earlier was just shock..."

Aggy routing Mizzou...if they bring even half the intensity they've played with this half they'll hang 60 on the scoreboard.

About the only thing Mizz has going for it tonight is their little blonde towel girl on the sideline.

Their OLine is NFL... Crazy good. Manziel just ran for a TD untouched and he pretty much just ran in a straight line.

Mane Te'o had another stand-out game for the Irish tonight, and many Heisman voters are on the record as saying they will never vote for a freshman for the award. Remains to be seen whether their prejudice will overcome the prejudice of many others against voting for a defensive player.

But given how restrictive the Heisman is in favor of QBs and RBs, it's almost lost its claim to being the best all-around player award. It's virtually become a best offense skills-player award.
