I agree with the last part. He needed a fresh start. That play seemed out of character for a guy who has defined himself by his work ethic and ability to defy expectations.

But his skill set is something every team needs. In Jonathan Gannon's words, "He's big enough and has the toughness to step into a gap and stone somebody," while also being able to bust a big play. That might not be an every-down back, but it seems thoroughly marketable for NFL teams managing third-and-long.
