Now, if we only had enough fireworks stocked up……More seats available this year than I can remember in recent times
Still a lot available on the east side 200s right on the 50. I'm debating on moving over from the West side but it would be an extra $200 a ticket and sitting in that hot sun a lot more.More seats available this year than I can remember in recent times
TCU’s player payroll is probably a lot more than the Renegades.
Well we know Texas's is for sure at $35-40 million.TCU’s player payroll is probably a lot more than the Renegades.
Same here! Thanks to whoever didn’t renew, we just got some great seats in the upgrade!
In the wretched +4 era, I had 6 East side tickets right on the 50, 8 rows from the top. They were about west side suite level height. The climb to get there from the portal was brutal though for entry, for a hot dog , to go to the bathroom etc.Still a lot available on the east side 200s right on the 50. Yep.The more I think about it, this is the game that we have chosen. As an activity, I enjoyed the Mountain West, the cheap prices and the food, promotions, etc. Usually saw a good Frog team win. It was fun, but we want to go Big Time. That’s expensive. Our fans expect the Frogs to compete in the CFP just like Alabama and Notre Dame. One of our fore fathers, Charles Tandy had a saying my late great dad used to frequently quote. It applies now. “ You can’t eat like a bird and crap like an elephant”
I went against it for the extra $800. I am right on the 50 in the 400s and only have to walk a few steps to my aisle seats. We can get to the concessions and bathrooms in about 30 seconds. Now the walk up to the 400s can be long but it's good exercise and fortunately not health issues at the moment. In the wretched +4 era, I had 6 East side tickets right on the 50, 8 rows from the top. Like Texas Tech now. There is ZERO chance a small school like TCU can compete in this situation. We will be known as the last school to make it to the final four teams, especially the final in college football history. The only way is if you have a billionaire who basically will pay double to triple what everyone else is paying and buy a championship in about a 5-6 year investment.
They let me drop one of my three, also at the end of a row. They would not allow it in years past.I'm interested to see if TCU let someone buy just 2 of the 3 seats they forced me to buy the last several years. There were 3 at the end of the aisle and I gobbled them up when I was married. Then I got divorced and only needed 2 but they said I'd have to give up my seats if I wanted only 2. I'm still not over giving them up but it was for the best.

I tend to agree with you. The one thing that keeps occurring to me is that over the last several decades I have had so many people tell me what it is that the Frogs cannot do. I was told TCU would never beat Texas again and then watched them go eight and four versus Texas. I watched them make the Fiesta Bowl and win the Rose Bowl and win the Fiesta Bowl and make it to the national championship game. All of these were the most unlikely and yet they did it.Yep.
We can't compete like we expect to in this marketplace, but by golly, people will waste a ton of money trying to convince themselves that we can. If the NFL removed its salary cap, its draft, and had every player become a free agent every year, the smaller market teams would have zero chance of competing for championships. I don't see why the college game would be any different. It won't be.
I think a lot of people are in denial of that reality.
Plus you can take the elevator to the west side. 300s and 400s.I went against it for the extra $800. I am right on the 50 in the 400s and only have to walk a few steps to my aisle seats. Totally different deal now. We had a chance because we could recruit smart and develop experienced teams, and programs like Texas had to live with their recruiting mistakes. For years they couldn’t hit on a QB, that’s the main reason they struggled for so long. Now they just buy stuff to fill whatever holes they have in their roster.I tend to agree with you.
