VOLUNTEERS FOR THE WIN!!!

  1. Tennessee - 10 month plan
I believe Mike Buddie can fix this - but somebody at TCU clearly isn’t doing their job in the athletic department

Providing further data on @tcumaniac ’s point about our “payment plan” for season tickets being insulting and far off from the norm:

  38. TCU requires 100% by April 1
I just did more work in ~20 minutes of googling than any of the highly paid associate ADs have done regarding our weakness in ticket plan financing that has caused severe drop in season ticket sales

I have clearly made somebody in the athletic department redundant or at a minimum…incompetent…please get rid of these low value employees hurting the athletic program

Big 12 Programs:
  1. OKST: 9 months plan
  2. Baylor requires 50% by May 31
  3. Utah: 6 month plan; final payment Sept 15
  4. Colorado: 6 month plan
  5. WVU: 6 month plan

  10. KU: 5 month plan; last payment July
  11. Arizona: 4 month plan
  12. TCU requires 100% by April 10
  13. Houston: ???
  14. BYU: ???

That's the plan, Stan.

I think these price increases are driven by our commitment to staying relevant through revenue sharing. They can currently pay athletes 22% of revenue and that % will increase.
I found this to be a bold-faced lie when TCU claimed this year the ticket price increases had to do with revenue sharing

NIL Ticket Fee Increase - Per Ticket:
  1. Arizona: $50 fee (total ticket price is not changing)
  2. Texas: $80 ($13 per game)
  3. Tennessee: 10%
  4. Oregon State $3 (yes per ticket)
  5. Ohio State: $0 (National Championship Winning Year)
  6. TCU: $150 to $250 per ticket for most

Maryland and NC State both added “per seat donations” for football season tickets for the first time this year

I guess the 10 month plan is great, if you want to start paying for your tickets in September of the previous season.

Is that better?
Yes - literally over 40 schools have better payment options than TCU…the point being having to cough up 5 figures immediately is flat out stupid from a business decision

Credit cards and payment flexibility have been around for over 40 years..

Maybe they should not have jacked up prices this year. My business is a barometer of how the economy is doing. Right now it’s sluggish and people are being cautious.

Let's see if Steel has this correct. Certain people feel the need to finance tickets in order to be able to watch games that they can also watch for free on the TeeVee. Certain other people want the billion dollar "charitable organization" to "work with them" to pay for their tickets late, so they don't have to suffer the indignity of watching the game for free on their TeeVee.

And you all say TCU is the one with the problem here? Addicts react this way when they're cut off from their supplier. What is the big attraction?

Capitalism is a bi tch, but if you don't want to meet the terms of the offer, then just move on to something else and quit your hundin... Ya'll are acting like jilted lovers.

The fact that there are non renewals will simply open up opportunities for other people/companies to snatch up the tickets. TCU will have little problem finding people/companies to pay for the tickets. TCU's coffers will continue to floweth over in spite of your vindictiveness. Butts in seats may be another issue tho...

Completely wrong. If that we're the case why isn't the stadium sold out every year?
