What right-wing media says is the Democrat's vision for America.* Trump voters aren't actually looking into what the majority of Democrat's plans are. They're getting out of context video clips, color commentary from Tucker Carlson, and lies from the President and coming to the conclusion that the Democratic party has gone off the rails.
On the flip side, many Biden voters believe that Trump raised taxes on everyone but the uber-wealthy. It cuts both ways.
After your screed elsewhere about not demonizing and tearing down the opposition, this is your response? Talk about hypocritical.
No, what I (and I think a lot of others) think the Democrat's vision of American is. European-style government and social programs. The Federal government doing more for the American people, I don't know how that can be denied. They want more federalization of just about everything. I want the Federal government to do less. As little as possible. Less and less and less until we get back to something reasonable other than sending more tax money to DC than to states, counties and cities combined. Understanding we'll never get there, but the slower the crawl towards the other direction, the better.
What? Who believes that?
I know some Democrats who believe some crazy or unsubstantiated things about Trump, but I haven't heard anyone accuse Trump of raising their taxes. They all just know that he raised the deficit substantially by providing tax cuts to the ultra wealthy.
Way too much Latinx talk. That's about the dumbest thing ever.
So Trump was only asked to denounce violence? He wasn't asked to denounce specific groups by name?
I've been too busy indoctrinating the youth with my Marxism to comment here much but holy cow if you're still voting for Trump after the debacle last night I'd seek help.
Either vote for Biden, vote for Jo, or don't vote, but good Lord this country can't take 4 more years of Trump.
Saying the DNA proves it isn't supported by the science. It's more likely that it was another member of the family who fathered the children.
I'm gonna vote for Trump because I don't like the Democrat Party platform and Jo can't win. Would like another 4 years of Trump, country was doing great until COVID, and if the Democrat party had it their way in combating COVID, we'd be way more scheissed than we already are.
Trump was asked to denounce white supremacists, and Trump asked if there was a specific group that he needed to denounce, and Biden said, "Proud Boys."
Wallace was giving Trump a chance to come out and say, "I denounce white supremacy." All he needed to do was repeat what he said 3 years ago and there wouldn't be any controversy.
"Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans."
Instead, he told a hate group to "stand by" because "somebody’s got to do something about antifa and the left."
What if Salman bin Abdulaziz, when asked to denounce ISIS said, "Sure, I'll denounce ISIS, but they need to stay ready because somebody has got to do something about these infidels."
There was tons of coverage after the tax cuts about people complaining about smaller refunds or actually owing something come April. The media could have run plenty of coverage explaining the phenomenon, but not surprisingly, it was panic-porn coverage instead. People didn't seem to understand that they were paying less in taxes.
The real winner last night was Kanye. I bet he picked up a vote or two. Probably some for the greenies and librarians as well.
You're joking, right? The left has continually lied about what he said 3 years ago to create this controversy, so why would anyone believe they would stop now?
We've had numerous people on this forum spread that lie here on multiple occasions. Oh, that, and the Clorox lie that even Joe Biden used last night. You know, the guy who said, "I am the Democratic Party."
You're right that he never said to drink bleach like Biden said last night. He said that they were looking into if you could inject disinfectant into the body to kill the virus (they weren't) and then there was an uptick in people ingesting disinfectants like bleach.
But it's a very clear example that people listen to the President and his words have consequences. After the "stand by" comment, the Proud Boys said this was a call to action and that they were going to go back to Portland. If he shares a video of his supporters yelling, "White power," he needs to then denounce those supporters if he truly didn't realize that that's what they were shouting.
Gee, I wonder if having pre-school and elementary school age kids across the country locked at home for months could have led to many of those cases.
