ESPN 300 wide receiver Eldridge Massington (Mesquite, Texas/West Mesquite) is a free agent again.

After discussing his recruiting situation with his parents and his recruiting coordinator, Massington decided Tuesday that he will decommit from USC and reopen his process. Ranked No. 167 in the ESPN 300, Massington said he’s open to all programs that are still interested in him.

Committed to USC since May 4, Massington tore the ACL in his left knee at a Tennessee camp he attended with West Mesquite teammates in July. In August, Massington said USC still would honor his scholarship, and he made public that he would graduate high school early in an effort to arrive in Los Angeles for further rehabilitation on his knee.

Get Boykin to reach out to Massington ,just like Devonte did for Hicks,TCU was after this before he vebled to USC ,we need this one.

Getting Massington would be huge for the Frogs. Another Gem like Massington and possibly Manning or Billings or both would be a stellar class this year.

I have no idea. I just don't think he was dropped by Kiffin and staff. It sounds like Massington made this decision.

With Massington we would have three (Hicks and James) potentially high level skill position players rehabbing ACL repairs. Definitely some "roll of the dice" in that scenario.

Scholarship limits? Or is Massington being brushed off?

If they wanted him, I would think USC would move Heaven and Earth to get him the best available rehab.
