Dykes NIL donation

A coach would do that to show they’re passionate about winning, 100% invested, etc

Let’s Dykes donated $2 million a year and we had a top 5 OL, we’d all benefit from it. Just getting Howard Sampson and one other make a huge difference. We go to CFP instead of New Mexico bowl, which is $4 million higher payout. Plus he’s a winner now. I’m surprised ego alone doesn’t drive coaches to donate. If I was Dykes and it was down to $50k to get Sampson and I had $20 million in the bank, it’d be real tempting to step up and get the guy I want. I don’t know of any coach donating to NIL but maybe I’m too passionate. Heck, A&M gives Jimbo Fisher $8 million every year to not coach. He should give back a little. Seriously, I’m surprised coaches don’t pay into recruiting purse. I’m also surprised TCU and other schools don’t formally pay into NIL. TCU knows the value of a team going 10-1 vs 6-5. Its millions in ticket sales, donations, etc.

Dykes should pull an aggie lol.

The board also clarified that school personnel (including coaches) can assist an NIL entity with fundraising through appearances or by providing autographed memorabilia but cannot donate cash directly to those entities
