Does Dallas have the worst GMs/owners in the country?

I still can’t believe this is real. And it’s not just that they traded him, it’s that they basically got next to NOTHING for him.
Trade him to the Bullets or Raptors for like 4 first round picks. This is garbage that it was not done in an open market.
I don’t give a darn what team they roll out there now , I’ll just buy a Stars membership and go to some games. THW the Cowboys and Mavs now.

Yep. Hard to give a damn when ownership is sabotaging their own teams. I’m out on the Mavs and Cowboys.

Again, a big thing with this whole situation is that this was done with zero oversight or input from the coaching staff or organization stakeholders. This was Nico taking it upon himself to do this in secret.

it seems to be too big of a trade for Nico to do this without Cuban's involvement.

Cuban has zero to do w the business side now. When the Adelsons purchased the team, Mark gave up that control and has some basketball operations title now.

this is Nico and the new ownership group and nobody else. And Nico was calling his old buddy and got blinders on. Will go down as the worst trade in sports history IMO

Was I supposed to type something here?
They're shedding payroll. Next, they'll tank for a couple of seasons, while gobbling up that sweet, sweet Network Payout money that will flow in. Then, in 2029, they'll have a bunch of 1st Round Picks...

Which they'll trade away.

Putting your loyalty and emotions into a Pro Sports Franchise of any kind is silly. They have nothing but contempt for you, and just want your money. Seriously. Take up reading. Woodworking. It's far more rewarding.

AD currently makes more per year than Luka. So they didn’t even shed payroll.

Various X posters are claiming the Lakers move was a political capital play. Boost a diminished league by giving arguably the premier franchise a potential MVP superstar, in exchange for owner votes for a Vegas move after the AA Center lease expires in a few years.

Also, Adelson/Dumont avoid the $375mm super-max contract due Luka next year.

Finally, they may be able to buy out Cubans remaining 27% at a discount for what is now a now badly damaged franchise.

So say the Twitters.

Makes more sense than “we traded away generational talent because he doesn’t walk the stair-master enough”.
