Now that’s a great question. I’m convinced these National Searches handled by consultants and search firms result in exactly this type of hire. He interviews well, looks the part, has a clean background and wants to be upwardly mobile. I’d much rather the admin have actual relationships that allow them to network and get referrals from within our market and region to get the right guy. CDC was at Rice, already in our market and had a proven history raising money which was the top priority. Flash forward…

Imo, lthis is the way the Universisty wants to move in the future. Try to hold athletics at their present level and continue to have the 40/60 male to female ratio along with 50% of the freshmen coming from out of state. The Days of Roach, Malsolm, Vic, CDC and GP are over. 500 ball for us in football conference is A OK with the Board. It's academics for the foreseeable future and the Front Porch is going to replaced with that.

Hoover has 4 TDs so far today and has been perfect. Keeping him would have been nice.

TCU football will forever be a decent little program but we can't expect frequent top 25 type teams if we can get/keep talent.
