My first post on this forum: Sonny Dykes sounds like a nice guy; but we don't need a nice guy at this juncture of the season. We need a WINNER, and Dykes needs to chew hard on some people, including Avalos, Sammis, Kelly, and others...including looking in the mirror. He's supposedly the head man, he can over-ride crappy play calling. That fiasco in Ireland was simply terrible! Dykes is the person who should take most of the heat. Come on, Buddie, do something before it gets worse.

Buddie and Pullin deserve blame for this mess too. They were the ones that decided to give up the home field advantage that probably was the difference in the game.

I agree that the defense generally did play well. However, they did commit a couple of stupid unforced penalties that did play a role in the loss.

Not bagging on or taking up for AA but a good team would’ve hung 35+ on our D. That being said, finding a bright spot for the abortion we put out in Dublin Saturday is hard, so giving kudos to the defense makes as much sense as anything I guess.

Easy Shreve. I recall you witnessed firsthand so I'll defer to your judgement. What Swink probably should have said on first post was "Aren't Defensive ends supposed to pressure and sack the QB"
John Schobel the soph DE recorded a sack and looked good with his hand fighting. He also defended against the NC TE effectively on two occasions. The other DEs did not and AA should consider benching the Tarzan looking that plays like Jane.
I think he’s generally a nice guy. He does whine and complain WAY too much on the sidelines, I’m sure the officials get really tired of it. Yell like heck at em if you want if they miss a call, but he complains about every flag and many are absolutely the right call.
Having said that, the call against Payne was bush league.

Doesn't matter how much we give, TCU isn't going above the $20 mil cap. That's why we will remain this way until something changes. So glad we hired an AD with no NIL experience.

I learned a couple of things:
1. That Sonny Dykes needs to stop bitching at every play that does not work with his hands outstretched. The officials will get tired of that real quick; I am already sick of seeing it.
2. Jaden needs to not be afraid to run. Had he ran in that last series close to the goal line, he would have scored, and although we still looked sloppy, at least we could have come away with a "W".
3. If Dykes does not become more forceful, TCU will end this year the same way Texas Tech ended up when the Raiders were coached by Dykes' father, Spike Dykes. Quit being afraid to BE THE BOSS; otherwise, we are going to watch the same old results...being strictly middle-of-the-road.
4. It was refreshing to see Jeremy Payne run the ball. If Kendal Briles were still here, Payne would not have seen three-forths of his carries.
Those were just four things, out of many, that I learned this past Saturday. (Oh, I have more, but with this only being my second post, I do not want to be "over-bearing".)

1. The officials already are. He is the whiniest coach in the B12.
I prefer to give to anything other than NIL which I think is ruining college sports. In fact, I just gave a substantial gift to a couple of the smaller non-NIL sports at TCU to be used on facilities, scholarships, and other things that don't involve payments to players.

What if UNC is greatly improved? Billechick is a great coach. Everyone has buried UNC. It's my experience that the media is almost always wrong. The team is going to rally.
