Kliff Kingsbury spent the week talking like a man with options at quarterback.

Just how many options the Texas Tech coach has may not be known until shortly before Thursday's game at TCU.

In theory, Kingsbury could choose among three possibilities to start against the Horned Frogs at Amon G. Carter Stadium - Alan Bowman, McLane Carter or Jett Duffey. In medical reality, things may be much more limited, potentially pointing to the first career college start for Duffey, the most healthy candidate.

xavier martin, red-shirted last year and hasn't played much this year

Thought he transferred to Houston so he could get a real education.

And there's the question if he would be medically ready to even fly to Fort Worth given the injury.

If flying was in question, the pressure of being sacked or even getting hit is far worse.

This is just a poker game between coaches.
