Gary Patterson calls triple OT loss to Baylor ‘probably the most disappointed’ he’s been as TCU coach

FORT WORTH – TCU and coach Gary Patterson saw a win ripe for the taking in the third overtime Saturday against Baylor.
The Bears had failed on a two-point conversion after scoring to open the third overtime. A touchdown and a two-point conversion would give the Horned Frogs a win over the team ranked 12th in the College Football Playoff rankings.
“I thought once we’d stopped them on the two-point [conversion], I thought we’d win,” Patterson said after a 29-23 loss that dropped the Horned Frogs to 4-5 and 2-4 in the Big 12.
