Former TCU men's basketball guard Kendric Davis is headed to the other side of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Less than two weeks after announcing that he would not return to TCU next season, Davis announced Wednesday that he is transferring to longtime area-rival SMU.

Davis, a former 247Sports three-star prospect who hails from Houston, played in all 37 games for TCU as a true freshman during the 2018-19 season, including two starts. He quickly became among the fan favorites, averaging 6.3 points and 2 assists per game for the Horned Frogs. Davis had a season-high 22 points at No. 17 Iowa State in February.
