TCU spring breakout candidates: Do the Horned Frogs have their next stud defensive end?

Editor's note: This is the fourth article of a five-part series previewing some of the top breakout candidates for TCU football during spring practice.
If you're going to play defense under Gary Patterson, high expectations are a given from the get-go. That's why it's no small matter when the TCU head coach of 19 years suggests a player could transform into one of the best he's ever seen at a certain position.
And as a defensive end? The bar is perhaps even higher, considering talent among the likes of Ben Banogu, L.J. Collier, James McFarland and many more the Horned Frogs have produced at that position. JUCO transfer defensive end Parker Workman, already on our list of potential spring breakout candidates, is set to learn that quickly along with fellow newcomers Adam Plant Jr., Shameik Blackshear and others.
