Dixon recruiting issue

I really don’t understand this at all. Seems like a good player, but we’re already deep at F. Now we’re going to rely on two inexperienced guys at C. And we’re screwed if one of them gets hurt.
Didn't we have 2 centers last year? Looks like we have a lot more shooters on roster for 2025-2026.

Yes and a lot of people criticized Dixon then too. But you could at least say we had an experienced starter then. Now we’re relying on one guy who has limited experience and slightly undersized, and a walk-on who has played a couple minutes of one game. We said we got a lot of shooters in the portal last year too, and look how that turned out.

Would love to see Diallo hitting threes and stretching the defense. Heck I'd love to see him hit shots from the free throw line or 10 footers on either wing.

This roster looks better than last year but that doesn’t mean it will be a success. I think we need a center to give Diallo a rest and cover in case of injury.

Recently committed to Indiana (unsigned)

Tayton Conerway 14.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.9 steals in 30.4 minutes per game. He shot 47.1 percent overall, 27 percent from 3 and 66.4 percent FT for Troy. 98 steals 2.9 per game.

Sun Belt player of the year.

We’re full. We couldn’t take James even if we wanted to. Dixon decided it was a good idea to roll out a front court with only one player who is taller than 6’9, and he’s a WO. We better be really really good at shooting next year.

If that list tweet is up to date and it appears to be, and those players with WO next to them are in fact walkons then we are not full scholarship wise. As for the walkons, doubt the would be able to stay if we found someone better.

We have one scholly left just not sure we will use it. And Diallo is 6’10” plenty big enough to play. I hope we’re not going to rely on the walkon.

Adam Stewart isn't that bad a player. Plus he'll be 22 in July and still 6-10.

PREP CAREER

We have 3 scholarships available. That would bump the walk-ons off the roster but they could continue to practice, etc.

I think he was becoming a distraction in the locker room. Don’t forget, he’s the one who went on a Twitter tirade about race at TCU.
