Forum membership doesn't protect you from popup ads. You need a browser like Firefox or Chrome, which automatically kill most popups.

Popups are undoubtedly the most obnoxious and hated ads on the net. Hard to believe advertisers think they're going to draw business by royally pizzing people off.

No pop ups on Firefox for me. The iPhone kfc ap seems to be intermittently affected for me, but not much of a nuisance. They show up for a couple minutes then go away. The times they hang around get pretty annoying. I have not figured out why they are there sometimes and not there others.

On the mobile side these pop ups can be a pain. I don't have them all the time though.
