A case of turf toe is bothering Michigan State senior cornerback Johnny Adams as he approaches his final game as a college football player.
Adams was limited Tuesday in MSU’s practice in Tempe, Ariz., MSU associate athletic director John Lewandowski confirmed, though Adams is expected to play against TCU in Saturday’s Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium.
Lewandowski said more is expected from Adams in practice today. The Spartans (6-6) certainly need Adams and fellow starting corner Darqueze Dennard to contain the Horned Frogs (7-5).
Defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi said TCU’s receivers are some of the most skilled the Spartans have seen this season, even though the TCU offense has been up and down. ...
