SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Michigan State and TCU are indulging well-worn stereotypes about the opposition -- or perhaps just hoping they're true.

MSU's defense has speed at every position, but redshirt freshman quarterback Trevone Boykin said, "We feel we can beat them with our speed."

"They're big like Oklahoma," TCU running back Matthew Tucker said of the Spartans, "but they're not fast like them."

TCU's defense is among the toughest in the nation against the run, as usual, and has stopped power teams in the past -- such as Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl two years ago. ...

Correct, but another photo series has something about Bell having a great game soon, meaning the WWWB. I can take smack from the teams or fans, but the media? Too much like Utah media for my tastes. In the DFW area the worst thing people can call a media person is a "homer", but elsewhere it seems to be a complement. I guess it is because so many people who currently live here are from the Rust Belt. Having lived up there, I can tell you, they hate the state of Texas.
