1) IT'S ONE OR THE OTHER: This will either be a winning season or a losing season for the Spartans, depending on tonight's result. That has been a primary motivator for MSU players. Coach Mark Dantonio has had one losing season at MSU, 6-7 in 2009 after an Alamo Bowl loss to Texas Tech.
2) OFFENSIVE INTENTIONS: MSU coaches know the offense has to improve dramatically for next season, and this is a chance to get that going. It's also a chance for quarterback Andrew Maxwell to give himself and his coaches a confidence boost entering the off-season. But TCU's stingy defense won't make that easy. ...
