Daryl Washington article in AZ Paper

Pretty cool that the Cards traded up to get Daryl. Whisenhunt is no joke either. He's got a Steelers pedigree and his long-term vision has always been about smash mouth football. Up until this point, Warner and the WR weapons made it tough to make that transition. However, make no mistake, drafting Beanie Wells last year was all about giving the Cardinals a power run game and being able to control the clock. With Boldin and Warner gone, the Cards are going to need a strong defense to go with the improved running game. Looking forward to getting my D-Wash jersey and having him become a hall of famer as a Card.

Congrats Daryl!

Its cool that AZ had D-Wash as the 12 best overall in the draft and still got him in the second round. If the cards would have fallen just slightly different, TCU would have had 2 first round players.

Yep, that Jacksonville pick was a major stretch and fueled the dominos. Based on what Graves/Whisenhunt said in that article, Daryl would have probably been picked ahead of Jerry had Williams been off the board.

Pretty cool that both TCU studs ended up at places they can honestly compete for a championship!

Any words on Newhouse or Gresham
