Dan Sharp needs to go!

How many times will special teams cost TCU wins? Kids will make mistakes, but to continually put the same person in a the same position is ridiculous. Good riddance Skye Dawson, who muffed a punt in every other game this year. However, the bigger problem are TCU special teams. If we are going to compete in the big 12, we can't give TD's away every game.

Who decides who fields the punts? GP or Sharp? If I'm the head coach, I say no more Skye on punts. I also tell whoever is back there DON'T CATCH THE BALL INSIDE THE TEN!

If the special teams coach can't :

1) put the right players on the field OR
2) coach those players as to what to do in certain situations OR
3) call the proper game situations without relying on the head coach to overrule him

You need a new special teams coach

How many times early in the season was there miscommunication on kickoff returns and TCU started inside the 20?
How many positive special teams plays were executed compared to the number of disaster special teams debacles?

Do not field punts within the 10 yard line -- where is the coaching? Why do we so often run an empty backfield especially when Boykin needs extra protection? Lastly, enough of the win by one point - this mindset has to go.

Shut up! DS is a great asset to TCU. Won the Rose Bowl with him on our staff. Feel bad for Dawson.....had a great career here w/ a few frustrating mistakes. However, he had damn good career and his senior year was great (most said the same on here).

The shortcomings of our special teams coach have been well documented on here but, for whatever reason, he is still the coach. I hope he sends a Christmas card to Jeremy Kerley because he made him look competent for a while. But, the problems with special teams pale in comparison to what is going on, or not going on, with the offensive staff. If there is not a change, we will continue to see us lose games that should not have been close enough for a special teams play to have changed the outcome.

I think this has probably been discussed in many ST meetings but if the player chooses not to comply the coach can't really do much until he gets to the sideline. There was a freshman that did almost the samething and you did not see him get another chance after his last mistake, several games ago.

But this man has been the achilles heel several times this season and it reared its ugly head at the wrong time tonight.

Funny how quick people are to jump on coaches after players fail to execute. Sharp was not the Achilles heel. Lack of execution was. I'm sure Skye performed well enough in practice to keep the job, but he for damn sure didn't translate it to game situations.
