Dalton Update...

Hell of a throw. How an NFL defense allows A.J. Green to get into any kind of window in the end zone in that situation is unfathomable. 12 seconds with no timeouts from the 13 yard line.

Green and Dalton took full advantage of the opportunity though so big credit to them.

Eifert has played about as many games as Jason Verrett has over the last few years, unfortunately. Cinci put a lot of faith into him. They let just about every good receiver they've had walk away in free agency except Green and Eifert. When one or both of them has been hurt then there's a serious lack of play making on that offense.

really hope john ross doesn't also miss significant time or another Bengals season full of potential could go down the injury drain in a hurry.

Speaking of Verrett...what's his situation?

John Ross would hurt but Tyler Boyd is the one that Dalton has been throwing to just as much as AJ. If Boyd goes down they will be in the same boat as every other season having only one or two targets. I hate Mixon, but whenever he gets back that offense will be on another level as well.

Injured in a conditioning drill at the start of camp, out for the year. I believe it was a torn Achilles.

He's only played significant time in one season and made the Pro Bowl that year. When he's healthy he's one of the best corners in football but he hasn't been able to stay healthy.
