Baseball

Over the long weekend, the No. 11 TCU baseball team remained on the diamond, winning its conference series with San Diego State to 2-1. The Horned Frogs set the school record for sacrifices with six bunts in game one bringing in a 4-1 win. They added a second win on Friday 11-5 in front of a crowd of 3,506. They dropped the third game to the Aztecs 1-3, moving their home record to 13-2. For more on the weekend series with the Aztecs go to dailyskiff.com.

Women's Tennis

After a slow start to the season, the women's tennis team plowed through Mountain West Conference opponent Air Force Academy 6-1 in the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Horned Frogs took five singles matches and the doubles point to seal up the victory. They returned to the court Saturday bringing in another win against conference opponent Wyoming 4-3. They sealed up their hat-trick of victories Sunday with another win, this time against Colorado State University 7-0. The shutout win concluded their 2010 home slate. Next up for the women's tennis team is the University of California-Irvine on Wednesday.

Men's Tennis

The men's tennis team also opened conference play this weekend and advanced its season record to 7-8 with a 4-3 win against No. 60 UNLV and a loss against San Diego State University 3-4.

The men's team continues to fight for the conference title for the third consecutive year as it faces Utah and Brigham Young University later this week.

Track

The Flyin' Frogs brought in more honors over the weekend at the Texas Relays in Austin. The men's 4x100 relay team of Skye Dawson, Charles Silmon, Mychal Dungey and Mark Barnes recorded a seasonal-best time of 39.20 seconds, putting them in second place behind Baylor. This was the No. 1 time in the MWC. For the women's team, Neidra Covington brought in a No. 6 finish in the triple jump with a 42-feet-7.5-inch leap. The Frogs will return to Fort Worth for their next meet, the TCU Invitational, scheduled for April 16-17.

Lacrosse

The men's club lacrosse team fell to crosstown rival Southern Methodist University 5-14 on Wednesday. The team will return to the field on April 12 in Denton to face conference opponent University of North Texas Mean Green.
