FORT WORTH, Texas — Oklahoma said all the right things about TCU’s new-look offense in the week leading up to its game against the Horned Frogs.
After TCU’s offense thrashed the Sooners for much of the 37-33 TCU win at Amon Carter Stadium, Oklahoma didn’t have to search hard to answers as to why.
It all started with quarterback Trevone Boykin.
“Anytime we’ve played him before, he’s been much more controlled, calculated,” Sooners defensive coordinator Mike Stoops said. “I thought they did a great job with him, building this offense around him. They showed a lot more tonight than they’d showed previously. Really, I thought they had a good plan with him.” ...
