Daily Oklahoman: 'Judgment calls' go Sooners' way

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops was chastised after the Sooners' Oct. 27 loss to Notre Dame, when he said OU was on the wrong said of a few “judgment calls.”
Saturday, the Sooners were beneficiaries of a few of those.
In the third quarter, OU defensive end R.J. Washington hit TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin, who lost control of the ball. It was recovered by linebacker Frank Shannon, who returned it inside the Horned Frogs' 10-yard line.
But officials called the play an incomplete pass; upon review, though, the call was overturned.
“I had a great discussion with the referee on my sideline,” Stoops said. “We were laughing. I said, ‘I'm tellin ya, I haven't gotten one of those all year. We're getting it today. You watch.' Sure enough, that's what happened.” ...
