Gundy disappointed with OSU's inconsistency after loss to TCU

Jeremy Kolok, Assistant Sports Editor, @JeremyKolok

Oklahoma State's football season did not end Saturday night in Fort Worth.

After OSU's 24-10 loss to TCU in a performance Cowboys coach Mike Gundy referred to as "just a game full of mistakes," the Pokes now reside at 6-6 at the conclusion of the Big 12 regular season, which is a mediocre record compared to the results Cowboy fans have become accustomed to seeing from Gundy's squad each year.

"It's just kinda disappointing, you know?," Gundy said. "I was concerned about whether we could rally back after a big win last week. We were a little flat early in the week, but then we practiced good and finished strong."

At some point you might have to give our defense some credit here. They played their hearts out with zero depth they got gassed in the 4th Q but gutted out a beautiful shut down series to close the deal.

Don’t know how our offense couldn’t run the clock out? Thankfully the defense saved us again!

Watched both coaches interviews. Patterson was incredibly gracious to Gundy and OSU. Gundy made excuses and had nothing complimentary to say except "Playing down to people hurt us" and "TCU wanted it more".

Gundy is usually a lot more complimentary towards Patterson. You can tell he was pissed at how they performed after how they’ve played the last couple weeks. Was probably hoping they turned a corner

I'm 99 percent sure he was referring to losing to Baylor when he says playing down.

After all this is a team that beat WVU and Texas and coulda beat OU. And if he says they were flat last night, which they were, that puts the blame on him...which he obviously didnt want to accept that blame.

Yep and these aren't SEC offenses either. Holding these wide open offenses to 2-3 touchdowns is really something.

He should be disappointed. They collapsed down the stretch. How do you explain beating UT and WV and losing to TCU and BU? He is kicking himself because they should have 10 wins this year, but.............
