To answer your question...Yes..He was the head coach at South Florida and had taken them to #2 in the country..Even turned down the Bama job..He got fired for hitting a player in the locker room at halftime of a game..

This. There’s really a myth out there that TTU always packs their stadium. I have no idea where it comes from because it isn’t the reality. It is a loud stadium when full but they have fair weather fans and students and a decent number of season ticket holders in DFW that don’t make all the games and let their tickets go unused. They’ve built a ton of suites and cooped up a bunch of fans inside too.

Sound familiar? Same problems we have but with a town of like 250k but where there’s nothing else to do, a student body 3x-4x ours, and an alumni base exponentially larger.
