roddog how do you explain not being able to fill the lower bowl for an elite Big 12 matchup such as this? I thought Tech owned the metroplex?

NFL stadiums make bad college football venues. I can't think of one that works off the top of my head. It really looks awful on television.

Georgia/Florida do a good job of filling up Jacksonville's stadium. In fact, they do a better job than the Jaguars.

Georgia Dome works perfectly for the SEC championship, but you have a number of factors that come together to make that work. I do agree that for the most part nfl stadiums don't work as well for college games because of the more sterile atmosphere.

This should end thus ridiculous attempt to copy the Red River Shootout. First, no one from either school wants to go to the game at JerryWorld. Second, whatever novelty the game had as a neutral site game had worn off. And third, both teams have a regularly scheduled trip to DFW every other year.

The field at Cowboy stadium just doesn't look good. Like a carpet with blotches where the nap is going differently all over the place. The whole picture with the team's colors just isn't pleasant looking at all.
