COVID testing — costs and consequences

Steel just talked to an ACC coach. The ACC is apparently requiring 3x/week testing for all athletes and staff that are competing. So for football that’s about $100 per person times three times 150 people for 10 weeks. Plus all the other sports. For this one ACC school they estimate the costs of testing alone is Estimated to be $3mm for this year. Not good...

also limits what they can do with non ACC because ACC requires them to follow ACC protocols which small schools can’t afford

Our firm is in Phase 2 of a diagnostic with 98% specificity, 95% sensitivity (FDA approved Abbott ID NOW lab test is ~60%). One minute result (much like a pregnancy test). Our POS/D2C $ is $4.95 a test.

The antibody tests on the market are worthless for reasons which will take me paragraphs to go through.
