  1. Curious why people simply can't answer the question. Countries make decisions like this all the time on any number of things, like basically in any war we've participated in. To pretend like protecting each individual life is worth sacrificing everything you have is kind of ridiculous.

I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn so my understanding of the flu is not authoritative.

But from what I understand, the flu virus is pretty well understood from a science standpoint. They didn't have to come up with a brand new vaccine to fight it; they were able to pretty quickly modify the existing one to recognize and trigger the immune response. Like, in a matter of a few months.

Plus, there were existing anti-viral medications to mitigate the symptoms. Like Tamiflu.

I'm sure you've seen references in the press to the 'novel' caronavirus.

There is no known naive immunity. No 'London Patient'.

    This thing isn't the flu.

  3. The market gained about 1000 points during last Friday's press conference.

  4. Just for those that think liberals aren't gloating and cheering the stock market and possible recession.....sick people.

  5. I don't know that is gloating or cheering.

It's a little sophomoric, yes. But the underlying point is valid; when a president relies on the stock market for validation of his performance, it's a double-edged sword.

  7. Well, considering it took a Chinese virus to crash it, you can hardly blame him for the fall, which this clown is doing. Or do you think the market crash is Trump's fault too?

  8. Once Margaret went back to Germany I have not gone back to Western Sky. I understand that Little Henry Hogeda may own the place now (not verified) and if so, I can't imagine that the steaks are very good. Lil' Henry needs to stay the heck away from steaks and do his Mexican food thing. Just my opinion although Lil has been known to do some good things with Tampico steak dinners and other Mexican-takes on steak.

  12. Sucks for wrestlers like Drew McIntyre who was going to get a big mania moment. Hope they just delay storylines like that until everything is back to normal.

  13. It’s a travesty, really. Truly one of the most pressing issues facing our country today.

    And Here. We. Go.

"DALLAS - Dallas County and the city of Dallas will close all bars, dine-in restaurants, gyms and theaters in an unprecedented effort to stop the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus."

NY, CT, and NJ State wide "Starting at 8 p.m., most restaurants, bars, gyms, movie theaters and casinos must close until further notice."

Not in Dallas county but ship hits home.

    How is this constitutionally legal?

I get why they are saying it, but without rent/mortgage/financial relief, you will see many, many businesses not reopen or take on debt they cant repay.

If you support a local business, go buy a gift card from them. That will give them working capital now and something you can use later.

  16. Love the idea, but not sure how many mom and pops are going to have a “later” after a mandatory shutdown.
