I can see your point that that seems like an inconsistency. I think now that we are in the endemic phase, it is akin as to why I think it is important for everyone to get the flu vaccine. More immunity out there at a minimum means less severe cases and less time off which means less of an impact of flu/Covid season on healthcare and our community. We have this awesome immune system that we can prime and that helps everyone directly or indirectly as part of a strategy to mitigate the impact of the respiratory infection season. But I do think post omicron there is not a good argument for doing anything more than encouraging the vaccine, especially given the distrust and skepticism out there.
I think the best way to "prime" your immune system is to go ahead and let yourself get infected and let your immune system do it's work.

I've never had a flu shot in my life, and I don't anticipate getting one. Why would I? My life is half over and I've never had an issue with the flu beyond maybe being down for the count for a day or two. I honestly don't know if I've ever even had the flu because I've never been tested, but I'm sure I probably have.

Absolutely. Flu cases have increased steadily over the last few decades in parallel with increasing vaccination rates. The logical conclusion is that more vaccinations = more flu. You are smart to avoid the flu shot. As an added bonus you probably lessen your chances of contracting and dying from Covid if you avoid the flu shot:

It's the classic patient versus population level benefit. On a population level there is clear benefit with less severe disease, but on an individual patient level it can be hard to see the benefit since most patients who get ill don't have severe disease. I get the flu shot every year and I have no idea if I've had less cases or less severe disease since there is no multiverse out there to compare. But the benefit is very clear when you look at the population as a whole.

Could you please cite the properly matched controlled study that shows the "clear" population benefit to mass vaccination with a historically ineffective (<60% efficacy for every year) vaccine?

Edit: it would have to be prospective study since retrospective vaccine studies are generally invalid because of the "healthy vaccinee" bias.

The Man Behind The Curtain
Anyone here read Dan Brown’s Inferno? I’m not a huge fan of his writing style but I like the genre of a history-based mcguffin-style action/thriller. This whole COVID ordeal keeps reminding me of the premise of his book—not the movie, which sucked.

As an Oncologist I Am Seeing People With Stable Cancer Rapidly Progress After Being Forced to Have a Booster

As a practising oncologist I am seeing people with stable disease rapidly progress after being forced to have a booster, usually so they can travel.

This happened to my previously very healthy brother. He developed a rare, aggressive cancer shortly after being double-jabbed with the Pfizer "vaccine". He was stabilized for a few months on chemotherapy and then his cancer exploded shortly after taking an ill-advised Pfizer booster shot. He died soon thereafter. I don't think this is a coincidence since it is happening all over the world in jabbed folks.

Still seeing the occasional person in a mask. One guy in a restaurant yesterday who had it over about half his mouth but not his nose. Almost looked like a chinstrap. One of those cheap blue ones that is worthless anyway. Oh well, not my problem, but its hard to believe sometimes.
