On a conference call. Read your post.
Out loud: Oh, [ Cumbie’s red zone playcalling ], that's funny.
    Phone not on mute.

  3. With your luck that would likely be the case when you open the package?

  4. I was very slightly involved in an airlift/disaster response to this island of Elbow Key/Marsh Harbour way back after Hurricane Floyd. Some guys in Florida had purchased generators, chainsaws, fuel, etc. and chartered an aircraft to fly the whole load out to Marsh Harbour, where things could be barged to the surrounding Keys. Upon the plane's arrival, a Bahamas Customs official announced the entire plane and it's contents were impounded until such time as the contents could be inventoried, and a tax assessed and paid.

The officious woman was escorted to the town jail, and locked up before the residents could kill her.

  5. FAKE NEWS!!!

Then-state health commissioner Howard Zucker assembled a task force for rationing the ventilators they already had that recommended that the state not purchase the 16,000 ventilators because there weren’t enough doctors and medical personnel to operate them.
    https://nypost.com/2020/03/24/trump...ast-cuomo-for-not-buying-ventilators-in-2015/

He obviously didn’t read the document he’s citing," Dani Lever, a spokeswoman for Cuomo, said in a statement to The Hill. "This was a 5 year old advisory task force report, which never recommended the State procure ventilators — it merely referenced that New York wouldn't be equipped with enough ventilators for a 1918 flu pandemic. No one is, including Mr. Trump.
    https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/489275-trump-cuomo-supposed-to-be-buying-his-own-ventilators

The report does not indicate that the state had the funds to buy 16,000 additional ventilators "at a very low price," as Trump said. It also does not say that the task force recommended to the governor buying 16,000, or that he turned down that suggestion.

Non CV related..... sitting at my computer watching some baseball video as I have little else to do. Friday night game vs Cal, 9th inning, 2nd pitch to second batter of the Cal half of the inning.... kudos to the fan who loudly yelled "Bernie ain't gonna give you a strike" at the Cal batter.... I laughed.

  7. Oh man, that's fantastic.

  8. Today’s Coronavirus news has been largely positive. 3rd straight day of big gains on Wall Street. Deaths in Italy are flat. Worldwide projections of deaths were reduced to tiny fractions of what was initially projected. And yet the NBC national news is 15 minutes in and said nothing outside of the usual negative fear-mongering. Should be criminal.

  9. The early season heckling was definitely in mid season form.

dem's needed someone to put on the ticket to run against emmett, she was willing to take the bullet, emmett did catch some undeserving [ Cumbie’s red zone playcalling ] for flooding in the western part of the county when they held water to try to protect neighborhoods in houston.

turner didn't say [ Cumbie’s red zone playcalling ] of course and the anti-trump, straight party voting in harris county put a couple of scheissing morons in as commissioners and a very bright, but way in over her head individual into one of the most powerful political positions in the state of texas.

oversees a budge of roughly 4 billion and i am sure they didn't do many case studies at stanford on decision making in times of global pandemic to safeguard 7 million people

You mean, today so far, that this is the biggest day of deaths by far,and the day not over, and that we are now, as of today, #2 in total Covid19 cases in the world. That's criminal on NBC ?.

4 weeks ago the POTUS said we only had 15 cases and it is going down.... today we have over 80,000 cases. So go with the science or The Donald.

  15. We also have tested more than any other country in the world, and have a larger population than most countries. You have to be clueless, or just trying to be negative for the sake of being negative, to not take some positivity out of today's developments. It's like you didn't even read most of his posts.

CNN is doing the same with the headlines, though...

    and this...

  16. Well, maybe not the 662, but get the point.
