I'm surprised it was that low. In the BcS era, the Cotton Bowl was an earlier time slot so lower viewership wouldn't be terribly surprising in the last 30 years since it was only 10ish years ago it gained NY6 status. But this year there was nothing up against it and it was a riveting game in a CFP semi-final. I'd have thought this would be one of the biggest playoff TV draws ever.

Some people have extremely short memories.
Why,Why oh Why don't Connecticut Yanks get it ??? ( their staff are blohards) They stopped giving us the starting lineups 7 years ago. They have repeatedly been giving us .7 seconds of showgirls/cheerleaders pr per game. The ESPN/Disney Agenda is against you most likely is problematic for right leaning folks going forward in '25.

A constant refain from "right leaning folks" on here castigates TCU as this "leftist outpost", here in "god fearin" Texas (as an aside, I question why any religion would want to promote itself as worshipping a wrathful, vengeful deity that instills fear into it's followers! Kinda' hampers those membership drives). Yet now, you claim that it's not and that progressive ESPN/Disney is biased AGAINST the school because it's magically transformed itself, almost overnight, into a conservative bastion!

Curious if there was this much wailing and nashing of teeth back when we went to the Mobile Bowl back in the day. The Poinsettia bowl was less than ideal but it was the reality that the MWC did not have great bowl ties.

Yes.
A lot of bitching from fans on this board about going in consecutive years. This bowl was early in the bowl season.
I think it was this bowl that TCU declined because its date conflicted with finals. IIRC the WAC tried to force TCU to attend, and the school responded by leaving for C-USA.
I could have a lot of details scrambled.
